RRATV Attends 2017 National Night Out In Grand Rapids, MN
What a great night it was on August 1, 2017!
The Rapids Riders ATV Club was part of the fun which included a bouncy house, a giant blow-up slide, helium balloons, hot dogs, REAL fire extinguishing demos and, of course, our free freshly made popcorn!
Many of the city and county support services were also there and our hats off to them for all the good that they do without much recognition. Many local Fire Departments showed off their emergency vehicles and let citizens get an up-close look at what they use to keep us safe.
Topping off the evening was the give-away of many brand new bikes generously donated by local businesses. What a wonderful way to give back! The squeals of joy and the huge smiles on the faces of the winners was just wonderful!
Rapids Riders raffled off two kid-sized, battery powered ATVs for the second year in a row! The winners this year were Lynn O'Brien, second place, winning the 12 volt ATV, and Derek Moehling, first place winning the 24 volt ATV. Congratulations to you both! Remember to ride safely, always. Derek's daughter, Ava, whose 5th birthday was Sunday the 6th, so she was one Happy Birthday Girl on her new ATV.
